Common materials, operating temperature and nominal pressure range
- Grey cast iron, suitable for working temperature between -15~+200 DEG C, low pressure valve nominal pressure PN is less than 1.6MPa.
- FCMB, suitable for working temperature between -15~+250 DEG C, nominal pressure PN is less than or equal to 2.5MPa in the low pressure valve.
- Ductile iron, suitable for working temperature between -30~+350 DEG C, nominal pressure PN is less than or equal to 4.0MPa in the low pressure valve.
- Carbon steel (WCA, WCB, WCC), suitable for working temperature between -29~+425 DEG C medium and high pressure valve, in which 16Mn and 30Mn operating temperature between -40~+450 degrees, commonly used instead of ASTMA105.
- Low temperature carbon steel (LCB), suitable for working temperature between -46~+345 degrees of temperature valve.
- Alloy steel (WC6, WC9), high temperature and high pressure valve for working temperature of non corrosive medium at -29~+595 DEG between; high temperature and high pressure valve WC5, WC12 is suitable for the working temperature of the corrosive medium between the -29~+650 C.
- Austenitic stainless steel, suitable for working temperature of -196~+600 degrees between the corrosive medium of the valve.
- Monel alloy, mainly used in hydrogen fluoride medium valve.
- Cast copper alloy, mainly for working temperature between -273~+200 degrees of oxygen pipeline valve.
Listed above is a large class of materials commonly used in the valve body. In particular, there are many different grades in each type of material, and different grades are applicable to different pressure levels. Therefore, in selecting the valve body material, should be based on different uses and different pressure levels, to determine the conditions required for the valve body material.
In addition, the valve body materials as well as titanium alloy (Tai Fa), aluminum alloy (aluminum valve); plastic (plastic valve); ceramic (ceramic valve) and so on.
